Summer days…where has they gone??????

I remember my summer holidays were so much fun. I could wake up late, relax, go out when I wish and plain vege out whenever I wish. Hmmmmmmm now all that is done infact it has been gone for a very long time.  Is this how life is suppose to be? God I am so tired at times. I don’t mean physically tired, I mean emotionally, mentally tired. But……….well……………such is life. As I have said before and I will continue to tell you out there in the world where ever you are. Enjoy life. Don’t be like me. Go out, do something…..anything. And enjoy whatever that is left of your life. But first and formost live for God and then do what it is tha makes you happy.

Be good.

One of those rare days………..

There are just some days that are so depressing you just would not want a repeat of it and there are days that are really enjoyable that you wouldn’t mind having this feeling another day. Today was one of those days that I enjoyed in spite of.

It was such a busy day for my students today. We had some activities I knew they would enjoy.

First, we had to make a card for a teacher that is home sick. She is an amazing teacher and my students just love and miss her and we wanted to share that with her. We missed her for the week.

Second, we had to make play dough from scratch……….That was so much fun. I think that is  the highlight of my day. My students were so excited that they get to make their own play dough and get a chance to go home with it. Surprisingly, they did exceptionally well in following directions. What a mess but oh so much fun. Great part of it all, they actually know how to clean up. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm not a bad set of kids I had for the school year.

Third, we had to practice for the upcoming school closing program. They are again doing very well in learning the poems and song. WOW!!!!! I must say I am very proud of my children (students) I consider them my own because I do take care of them when they are with me.

Teaching can be so much fun sometimes but oh so much work. Some days you just enjoy and feel so proud when the students not only learn academics but moral and spiritual lessons. And then they are days when you just look at the brats you have and ask yourself “HOW DID I EVER GOT MYSELF IN THAT OCCUPATION?”

Yes people this was my day…………and oh what a day it was.

I am so ready for this long weekend

Last goodbyes……..

Saying goodbye to the ones we love is never easy. Just the idea that we can never hold them, talk to them, tease them hurts beyond words. But the comforting thing to me is that as a Christian I have hope. No matter what I face I know my Lord will be with me.

When we go through our trials and testing in life we have a tendency to ask why.Why me? Why now? Why? Why? Why? It feels no one else is going through these things and no one will ever understand the pain you are feeling. But in spite of this let me encourage you and even me to keep our heads up. There are people who are going through maybe the same thing or even worse. There are people who have gone through it and they made it through.

My encouragement……

1. Trust God…….He has a perfect record. He has never fail in anyway.

2. Get someone whom you can talk to………..talking to others always helps in one way or the other. Either they will give some good advice or they will just sit and listen to you express yourself.

3. Cry it out! Don’t try to keep it in. Trust me! Crying cleanses the soul.

Be strong and face whatever you are facing now!! Keep your head up high because one day you may be the one to encourage a fellow friend on how you made it through.

REMEMBER! This Too Shall Pass

Do you ever sit and wonder where the years of your life has gone and how you reach that age so quickly? Ummm………….just the other day I was 16 years old well excited..then 18..21.now I am 28 years old and I wonder why did it have to come so quickly.

I never imagine being this age, never imagine being where I am in life. Don’t get me wrong life is not as bad as some other people but at this very moment I must say I am a little disappointed that I did not get to go to Heaven on May 21st.

I do wish that life is going good for you wherever you are in the world. But remember no matter what you face just keep your eyes on Jesus Christ. He will keep you through all the down, sad and depressing days in your life. I am learning that at this very moment in my life.

This was such a blessing to me today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Polycarp (AD 69-155), who was bishop of the church at Smyrna, was asked by Roman authorities to curse Christ if he wanted to be released, he said, “Eighty-six years I have served Him, and He never did me any wrong. How can I blaspheme my King who saved me?” The Roman officer threatened, “If you do not change your mind, I will have you consumed with fire.” Polycarp remained undaunted. Because he would not curse Christ, he was burned at the stake.

Centuries earlier, when three young men named Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego faced a similar threat, they answered, “O Nebuchadnezzar, . . . our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods” (Dan. 3:16-18). A similar experience but two different outcomes. Polycarp was burned alive, but Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego left the furnace unsinged.

Two different results but the same display of faith. These men showed us that faith in God is not simply faith in what God can do. But it’s the belief that God is God whether He delivers us or not. He has the final say. And it’s our decision to choose to follow Him through it all.

Lord, help us trust You all the time
Regardless of what comes our way,
Accepting from Your goodness that
You always have the final say. —Sper

Life is hard, but God is good—all the time.

Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. —Hebrews 11:35

When I think of the future

and what it is I’m supposed to be

I find myself almost wishing

I could run away

forget responsibility.

I know I have a mission;

I know a plan was mapped out just for me.

But still I deep on doubting

I cannot do it-

Not in this reality.

God, give me courage to obey You,

God, give me faith when there’s nothing I can do

Make me a warrior fit and fearless

But one still willing to run to you.

I’m not afraid of dying;

It’s living that brings me to my knees.

I must confess that I’m still searching

But I know You’re here and calling—

FOLLOW ME!

Devotions for today…The Year in Review!!

Text: Psalm 77:1-14

Quoting:: During the last week of December, newscasters often look back at the significant     events of the past year- the triumphs and failures of prominent people, natural disasters, economic challenges and the deaths of celebrities and leaders. The most surprising events usually receive top billing.

If you reviewed the past year of your life, what would appear on the list? Has an unexpected event caused you to question God or more deeply experience His goodness?

Psalm77 chronicles the lament of a person in distress who felt as if God no longer cared (vv.7-9). Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore? (v.8). Yet even in anguish, the psalmist said, “I will remember the works of the LORD;surely I will remember Your wonders of old” (v>11). The result was a renewal of trust and hope: “You are the God who does wonders, You have declared Your strength among the peoples” (v.14)

As you think back over this past year, why not write down the significant events in your life. Don’t be afraid to include your difficulties and disappointments, but remember to consider all the ways God has been with you.

During every difficulty, we can always find the faithfulness of God.

—David McCasland

When we look back and contemplate

What we’ve been throulgh this year,

We’ll praise You, Lord, for all You’ve done___

Your faithfulness is clear. —Sper

Difficulties in our lives give us the opportunity to experience the faithfulness of God.

Old year is coming to an end..new year is quickly approaching.

Hey let me ask a question….how many of you guys actually kept your new year’s resolution??? I mean really kept it to the end??? And have you started a list of what you want to do and not do??? Oh I know you have started. Well as for me I haven’t. I can’t remember the last time I have written a New Year’s Resolution list. I know this sounds so lame but I really don’t.. I don’t really have an excuse I just don’t do it anymore. Years back I will take my time and write out my list then started out full throttle and then as the year continues I get lost in real life then I forget or just don’t have the strength to keep it up.

But please don’t do like me. Have a purpose in life. Plan to do something big with your life for the upcoming year. Do something that is so amazing and memorial that if God allows you to leave for the next few years you will be talking about it. Love and live your life…don’t let it pass you by. I mean it. Go out and do something, not just wish you can. Travel if that is your passion. You don’t have to go far. Just to the neighbouring state or island or village, but go. Learn something new….a dance, or language or something, anything. Lastly, although this should have been the first. Live a life pleasing to God. He is the one who have kept you this long so don’t forget that.

I wish you a Very Merry Happy New Year.

much love

It has been a while!!!!!

It has been and continue to be busy yet interesting in life. It is a long time since i sit and write because I’ve other things taking up my time and although I wanted to I just couldn’t sit and write anything…….Has it been like that for you too? sometimes I just want to go somewhere very far an isolated where no one can find me and just stretch out and do absolutely nothing. But life is not like that is it? It just keep sending you all sorts of balls and you must block them. Anyways I’m good for now. Thank God for that. Hope all is well on your side of the island.

I will send another post as soon as I can.

Love, Mwaaa
